LS2c. Students know an inherited trait can be determined by one or more genes.
LS2d: Students know plant & animal cells contain thousands of different genes and typically have 2 copies of every gene. The 2 copies (alleles) may or may not be identical, and one may be dominant in determining phenotype while the other is recessive.
1. How does this assignment relate to the standard?
The standard and assignment relate with one another by... By having to determine how my offspring will look possible look like, by using punnet squares to determine it. And to determine how physically will my child be.The standard means that it is our duty to understand what are the genotypes and homozyous also heteroygous. Also that we must be able to do the predictions using punnet squares.
2. What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
First i did as was asked to finish the answering sheet with the questions and is the main paper. Second to show my work on a piece of separate paper of my punnet squares. The third was to sketch a prediction of how the baby will possibly, look like. Finally is to boil the egg and to draw a visual image of how will it possibly, physically look like.
3. This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
It shows that i can demonstrates that i know to find the homozygous and heterogeneous and the different pairs of the body accessories. And that i can predicted on how my offspring might look like with punnet squares. Also that i can get a passing grade on a science project as this.
4. I could have improved my work on this assignment by...
I could added more info and been so much more specific with explaining the how the punnet squares decided. And would have been more more decorative with drawing a little better.
5. How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I will use the skills and info to possible predict, what inherits will my offspring {possible} have. And i could use also in biology class in high school or in college, whatever i choose when and at that level of education.
